Leadership Advisory
Judgement, not just candidates.
Some leadership questions cannot be solved with a vacancy. Advisory engagements exist for the decisions around the appointment: who should be in the room, what capability is missing, and how to make the leadership you already have work harder.
Advisory work is honest work. We tell organisations when a leadership problem is really a strategy problem, when an advisory board is the wrong instrument, and when an internal candidate is a better answer than an external search. That candour is the service.

Where we are asked to advise
Advisory Board Design
We help organisations design an advisory board that earns its place: the right mix of judgement, sector fluency and challenge, with a clear charter that is explicitly separate from a formal board.
Leadership Assessment
Structured, evidence-based assessment of executive and board candidates against the mandate they are being hired or promoted to deliver.
Succession Depth
A clear view of who could genuinely step up, how ready they are, and what would close the gap before the appointment is needed.
Executive Onboarding
A structured first hundred days for a new executive or board member, so a good appointment is not lost to a poor start.
Board Effectiveness
Practical review of board composition, committee coverage and the behaviours that slow a board down.
Market Insight
What competitors are paying for, who is moving and where the credible talent actually sits in your sector.
A note on advisory boards
Advisory appointments are not board appointments
An advisory board provides guidance and challenge to management. It is not a board of directors: advisory members carry no statutory duties, no fiduciary responsibility and no legal accountability for company decisions. We make that distinction explicit in every brief and with every candidate, so nobody accepts an appointment on a misunderstanding.
The right leadership changes everything.
If you are weighing a leadership decision and want a straight view before you commit, start with a conversation.
