**Core Responsibilities**
- **Executive Leadership & Hyper-Growth Scaling:**
Manage, mentor, and expand a multi-tier engineering organization—directly leading Directors, Engineering Managers, and multidisciplinary teams across Backend, Frontend, Cloud/DevOps, and Quality Architecture.
- **Technology Vision & Architecture:**
Drive long-term technical strategy and system architecture to support high availability, massive transactional throughput, and complex global payment flows.
- **Delivery & Operational Excellence:**
Own the end-to-end R&D execution lifecycle. Ensure predictable, high-quality, and continuous software releases within a dynamic startup culture.
- **Proactive System Health Tracking:**
Oversee cloud infrastructure (
**AWS**
), platform security, performance optimization, and system health tracking to guarantee enterprise-grade uptime for multi-billion-dollar processing environments.
- **Talent Acquisition & Culture:**
Attract, hire, and retain world-class engineering talent while championing a culture of autonomy, transparency, and architectural rigor.
- **Strategic Executive Synergy:**
Partner directly with the CEO, VP Product, and executive peers to align engineering roadmaps with aggressive commercial targets and business strategy.
**What You’ll Bring**
- **12+ years**
of progressive software engineering experience, with at least
**8+ years**
in executive R&D leadership roles within
**hyper-growth**
technology companies –

Demonstrated experience managing engineering managers and scaling R&D teams rapidly –
