We’re a full-service media agency where nearly half our experts focus on data, research, analytics, technology, or strategy. At Publicis Collective, 100% of our 2,200 global practitioners can access advanced insights and scale media with precision through our proprietary OS, powering marketing that drives measurable business performance and transformation. **Overview** The Vice President, Brand Experience plays a key role in leading media strategy and providing thought leadership for a high-profile client account. Reporting into the EVP, Brand Experience, this role is responsible for developing innovative media solutions, overseeing the execution of integrated media plans, and ensuring the agency’s work exceeds client expectations. The VP will serve as a key client contact, driving strategy, building relationships, and leading a lean, cross-office team. This is a hands-on leadership role. The client team is collaborative and highly engaged in the details, and the business is complex. Success means setting strategic direction while staying close to the work. The role also offers broader integrated experience through Pernod’s expanding Power of One services, working alongside partners such as Influential, Publicis Sports, and 160over90. **Responsibilities** - Serve as primary media lead for senior-level client contacts, providing strategic direction and owning the health of the client partnership, including formal partnership evaluations. - Oversee the development and execution of holistic, cross-channel media strategies across TV/CTV, social, programmatic, retail media/commerce, OOH, and creator programs, to meet client business objectives. - Proactively identify opportunities for growth, presenting new ideas and approaches to the client. - Lead, mentor, and develop a lean team across offices (Michigan-based Brand Experience, Publicis Global Delivery, and dotted-line Strategy), not all direct reports, fostering collaboration and high performance. Give direct, timely feedback and handle tough conversations with care. - Collaborate with the client and EVP to establish and manage annual budgets across brands, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. Track and report on budget performance, recommending clear trade-offs when budgets shift mid-year. - Partner with internal teams across investment, data, and analytics, and with Power of One partners (e.g., Influential, Publicis Sports, 160over90), to create integrated solutions and show up to the client as one team. - Lead the development of client presentations, insights, strategic updates, and POVs, ensuring clarity and impact. Communicate complex strategies and results effectively to both senior and junior client stakeholders. - Build and improve ways of working, such as clear recaps, trackers, single points of contact, and defined roles across partners, so work runs smoothly and the client experience feels simple. - Stay ahead of industry trends and new tools, including AI and Collective OS, and put them to work for the team and client. **Qualifications** - 12+ years of media planning and buying experience with progressive responsibility across digital and traditional media. - Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships with knowledgeable, highly involved clients. - Working knowledge across channels, including TV/CTV, social, programmatic, retail media/commerce, and creator marketing. Beverage/alcohol category experience is not required. - Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing and developing talent at various levels. - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence client decisions and present compelling strategic ideas. - Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity, with a positive, solution-oriented approach, especially when situations don’t fit established processes. - Strong attention to detail and willingness to stay close to the work, including checking numbers, reports, and deliverables before they reach the client. - Fluency with media planning tools like MediaTools, and a solid understanding of data and analytics to inform strategy. **Additional Information** Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger.
